Tomorrow is IDAH (International Day Against Homophobia) which events will be happening across the Globe. You might think in this day and age hate crimes against gay people doesn't exist, but your wrong.

Homophobia is international, the amount of abuse gays still get is unacceptable. Most of this can be prevented through education. Husky will back me up when saying hate towards gays can make you feel extremy depressed and unwanted within the community. Homophobia isn't that straight forward, it's not just the hate people can receive, but the insecurity gays face everyday.

America is one of the most homophobic countries in the World. Several states have made it illegal to even hold unregistered partnerships. The Democratic Party is extremely anti-gay, not to forget how religious America is. Don't Ask, Don't Tell just got appealed last year, showing how Conservative the USA are. You can get away with killing a person if you think they're going to come onto you called the ''Gay panic defense''. What does that tell you?

The UK, Netherlands and Canada are the only Countries which gays can really have an amazing life. Europe does have laws in place which stop some discrimination, but Countries have lower levels than others.
