F2P Weapons

Damage: Damage is the new 'Strength bonus'. It's more important than anything else on the weapon when looking for a strong weapon in F2P.

Style: Doesn't effect PvP at all.

Type: Only matters when looking at the Combat Triangle. Mage > Melee. Melee > Range. Range > Mage

Speed: Doesn't really matter in Wars because of abilities that can be used. You can use ability after ability, basically making a weapon's speed not a big factor.

Gravite 2h Vs. Corrupt Dragon Spear

2h weapons are the strongest melee weapons atm in F2P. Using 2h weapons allows you to disable your target's prayers using the "Smash" ability, so this is a great weapon to use for any War. The only downfall is that you don't get the great bonuses of wearing a shield.

Their speeds are the same; and the Corrupt Dragon Spear has a superior damage rate. If you do not have a Gravite 2h, a Corrupt Dragon Spear is definitely the way to go.

Rune Javelins Vs. Magic Shortbow

Rune Javelins are a great alternative Ranged weapon to use if you want to maximize your Defensive bonuses. You can wield the Javelin while wearing a shield. It also has a higher Damage rate than the Magic Shortbow.

Maces Vs. Scims

Speed and damage are both the same; Maces give +5 Prayer bonus, so in certain circumstances, they are the better choice. They are also a lot cheaper in the G.E.
