Over the past year, tons of other clans' forums have been hacked with their databases being compromised; meaning for some people their emails, usernames, and passwords aren't safe to use. Even if you haven't registered on any other site other than ours, I am posting this to help those of you who may not be aware to possibly save you from some trouble in the future.
In fact, some guys who have been "hacked" in the past, were hacked because they previously registered on different forums with the same E-mails and passwords. When those sites were hacked, the hacker was easily able to retrieve the information you used on those sites, and gain access to your account. Makes sense, right? Let's stop that from ever happening to anyone in CP.
I recommend everybody, old and new, to follow the steps below to stay as safe as possible.
1. Do not use the same E-mail for your RuneScape account elsewhere. If you have an RS account that lets you use your original username as the log in, make sure the E-mail attached to your account isn't used publicly on other forums and sites.
2. Stay away from easy passwords. Get a more detailed password like fd341@#sd!f and note it down or save it somewhere. For forums you can copy/paste the password to log in, and never have to remember it again; use something difficult.
3. DON'T USE THE SAME PASSWORD FOR YOUR RS ACCOUNT AS YOUR FORUMS PASSWORDS. This is a huge mistake that many people make. If they are the same, change them both NOW to something different.
4. If you do choose to register on other forums, RuneScape related or not, be careful with your personal details (Your E-mail used, your IP address, etc). I suggest not registering on anything other than Zybez (for their Price Guide)
5. To take safety to a new level, on our forums I recommend using a different login name compared to your display name. If you already changed your password to something difficult (and unused elsewhere), you can be the judge for whether or not this step is necessary.
Ty for reading. Whoever has access to your account(s) is all on you. Take the extra precautions and make sure you're safe.

Just keep your head down and you'll be fine. Good guide though.
