Hi, I am Katie and I’m embarrassed to admit it but I bought gold from a gold farming site. The website re-used my parent’s credit card details and racked up thousands of dollars in fraudulent online purchases. They contacted the police but were told there was nothing they could do to help as the website is based in China and the bloody website is still running!
(Doesn't get banned because Jagex knows she will buy bonds after getting her own credit card (which her parents will give her).)

Hi, I am t0m_thumb and I searched the web for ways to make gold. I downloaded Powerbot and it installed a malware on my computer. My RuneScape account, Facebook, Twitter and email were all hacked and my bank account has been completely wiped out.
Will definitely buy bonds to get back some gold in-game.
I am a8jk13tjkp and I am a corrupt gold farmer. I’ve scammed, hijacked, DDoSed and defrauded millions of RuneScape players over the years. Now that players can trade Bonds with each other in exchange for any in-game resources, my business is completely screwed!
I am actually Jagex pretending to be a gold farmer. I've scammed money from kid's parents who aren't smart enough to make money in a game. Now that players can trade Bonds with each other, my business is gonna make bank!
Don't be fooled. Jagex just wants your money. They know that gold farmers make a lot of $ on their game. These new bonds are Jagex's attempt at getting their hands on those lost profits. They claim this is a money sink, but I don't see how. GP isn't being removed from the game. Bonds only originate by being purchased from Jagex for IRL $. They are then transferred between players and exchanged for memberships or spins. If gold farmers are in fact forced to drop their prices to match the drop in demand, gold will be so cheap even I might start buying.
[EDIT: Apparently once a bond is traded it becomes untradeable, and in order to make it tradeable again, there is a 10% fee based on the GE price to make it tradeable again. This is the money sink they speak of.]
