'Red chinning' involves using Red Chinchompa's which are a multi-target, stackable, Ranged weapon requiring level 55 Range to use. They can be obtained by the Hunter skill at level 63 or buying them in the G.E. The red chinchompa's are thrown like throwing knives however, it explodes on impact and therefore cannot be picked up... Since they are a multi-target weapon they can provide excellent Xp in a multi-combat area of Runescape.
It is also possible to use a cannon in the Ape Atoll Dungeon which basically doubles the experience you will gain. This will obviously be more costly but its defiantly worth it. If you do decide to use a cannon whist your chinning the ration of chins to cannonballs is about 1k red chins to 3k cannonballs.
The best spot to train using red chinchompa's is Ape Atoll which requires the partial completion of the Monkey Madness quest.

Gear:In order to maximise your hits and the Xp earned you need to wear Ranged equipment that provides you with the highest possible Ranged attack bonus. Below I have listed some of the item alternatives depending on your defence level. They are ranked in order of their bonus from left (higher bonus) to right (lower bonus).
Headgear: Any Mitre > Robin > Coif
Amulet: Amulet of Ranging > Amulet of Glory - Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Power
Cape: Ava's Accumulator > Fire cape > Trimmed 99 (Prayer) > God Cloak (Prayer)
Shield: Unholy Book > Book of Balance > Holy Book
Body: Monk Robes > Leather Body
Legs: Black D'hide Chaps > Red D'hide Chaps
Boots: Ranger boots
Gloves: Mercenary's gloves > Black D'hide Vambs > Addy Gloves - Combat Bracelet
Ring: Archers Ring > Ring of Life (If its your first time or don't feel comfortable)
Weapon: Red Chinchompas + Cannon (optional)
The amount of chins you should bring will vary but around 1k-1.5k should be enough. If for some reason you happen to die ALL your chins are released (lost) upon death so don't take over 2k just incase.
Inventory:
4 x Ranging Potion (4) - Drink one dose per 5 doses of your Prayer Potions
20 x Prayer Potion (4)
1 x Super Anti-poison (4) - There are low level poisonous spiders that may poison you.
1 x GreeGree - Enables you to log out safely. It is more economical to take another prayer pot in that inventory slot but if your in the monkey form you won't disrupt other people's training when you run past them, as the skeletons they training on will follow you if your in human form however if your a monkey they do not attack you.
1 x Rocktail - You will take little damage from falling rocks, traps and the spiders.
1 x TeleTab - One click telly is essential for leaving and in the case of an emergency.

There are falling rocks within the dungeon so you can't just anywhere or else you will be constantly taking damage from the falling rocks. Below is a map showing the four spots where you can stand and not take damage from the falling rocks. You can also stand under certain parts of the cave roof but the four spots showed below allow only one square in which the skeletons can attack you. This forces them to stand under each other forming some sort of skeleton death dot !

Spot Four

So now your in one of the four spots mentioned just its nearly time to start chinning but first make sure you are ready.
Prayer: Quick Prayer is set to Protect Melee + Eagle Eye or Rigour - Eagle Eye or Rigour are highly recommended as they greatly increases your Xp gained however they do slightly reduce the length of your trip because they drain your prayer points faster..
Attack Style: Set the attack style to 'Short Fuse' I have experimented with all methods and this is a tad slower them medium fuse but it is more accurate, this means you maximise the Xp you earn per chin and therefore get better value for your money.
Auto Retaliate: I recommend turning auto retaliate on but its up to you.
Potting: You should drink 1 dose of your Ranging Potion per 5 doses of you Prayer Potions. Make sure you drink your prayer potion at the highest point possible without wasting any. For example I am 52 prayer so I drink a dose of prayer potion when my prayer drops to about 300 prayer points drinking it at 300 prayer points doesn't waste any but ensures that if I lag out my prayer will last until Runescape logs me out.
Make Skeletons aggressive: Run through the tunnel until the location you were using is not visible on the minimap anymore. Then return to your spot and the Skeletons will be aggressive again. After about 1.5 hours none of the skeletons will be aggressive unless you leave the tunnel and return.
Multiple people at one spot: If someone comes and starts chinning at the same spot as you then that's ok as the Xp is the same with two people but if a third comes I recommend hopping.
Ok to begin make sure your in one of the four spots I have shown you. If your using a cannon then set it up. Then turn your prayers on, now equip your chins this will automatically transform you back into your human form. All the skeletons in your general area will now rush towards you and start attacking you. After a while of attacking the skeletons they will all stand on top of each other
If you do not kill a Skeleton fast enough it will turn into burning bones and after a small amount of time it will then respawn from them bones. At first some of the skeletons will probably turn into bones but this probably only happen within the first five minutes.
After about 15 minutes the Skeletons will become non aggressive and start to wonder. You should still have heaps attacking you as they will be spawning from their own bones but if the number you are attacking drops to low then, run through the tunnel until the location you were using is not visible on the minimap anymore. Then return to your spot and the Skeletons will be aggressive again.
When your just about out of Prayer Potions or Chins which ever happens first, get ready to teleport.
