So if you care about CP and know anything about clans, you will read this guide on what needs to be done to have a perfect community. Of course pure clans change daily and I don't remember everything off the top of my head so there will be crap added to this topic all the time.

First, a community is basically how people in the clan interact with eachother. Interaction happens within the clan in IRC, TeamSpeak, the Forums, and in game. I will break this post down into those four categories. If you have anything to add yourself feel free to post it.

IRC Community Building
- Someone new joins IRC, say hi to them and start conversation. Make them feel welcomed.
- Create inside jokes with members, this is kinda like IRL friendships, if you have an inside joke with someone you always have something to talk to them about, this just makes people feel closer.
- Notice IRC may be a lil dead? Start conversation with whoever is online, regardless if you know them well or not
- Notice a conversation in IRC already going on? Join it and give your 2 sense
- On a rare occasion, there may be a conversation going on between someone not in CP with someone in CP, this your oppurtunity to join the conversation, just simply talk to them. The more people talking to them the better, this makes them not only feel that CP's community is good, but big. It may make them want to join CP or atleast interested in looking into CP more.
- Don't let IRC get spammed, set +R, +i, +m - whatever is nessacary that won't ruin conversation
- See an argument going on? Try to either change the subject or ask them nicely to stop in PM, if they don't, then set +m and devoice them, if they just reclaim their autovoice and not listen, pm a Leader to help solve it.
- Laugh a lot, tons of Lol's, rofl's, lmao's. This might sound gay but it makes the clan look more enjoyable, have some laughs and enjoy the community. I sometimes literally do nothing on IRC but just have conversation with people and joke around.
- Wearing a [CP] tag really helps with making people interested in staying in our channel, if they see we are active and have a huge supporting memberbase, they may want to get to know us better. Having all officials have [CP] tags like we do now encourages members to wear them aswell.
- It is crucial for new members to get involved in the community asap, so if you see one online tell them to get in IRC and talk to them, or if they are already in IRC start talking to them. About anything.

TeamSpeak Community Building
- The first step is actually being in TeamSpeak, if you are online or even offline go in TS and be in the AFK channel atleast. This makes our TS look active even if no one is online, it encourages members to be in TeamSpeak aswell if officials are AFKing in there.
- Have events using TeamSpeak, meaning in game or even out of game like Tiny Chat, talk through TS.
- When you are in a group conversation in TS and you see someone by themselves or that just joined, have them come in your channel and meet people. Get them involved in the community.
- Remind people to join TS, sometimes people just flat out forget so use other communication methods like in game or in IRC to tell people to get in there.
- Simply talk in TS, find a conversation, if there are none going on tell people to get in TS and start convo with them.
- It is crucial for new members to get involved in the community asap, so if you see one online tell them to get in TS and talk to them, or if they are already in TS start talking to them. About anything.

Forums Community Building
- Visit the forums at the very least. Making the bottom of the site with Members Online Today is crucial in keeping spirits up. Show that we have an active member base.
- Post on every new topic. You can see every new topic on the right of the site and just commenting on it. If you see this list not change for a while, then create your own topic to keep it going!
- Building off the last point, create new topics as often as you can. About anything. Just give people something to post on.
- It is so important to post on every introduction, make sure the person feels welcomed to our community. It's important on these as soon as you possibly can. If the person doesn't get as many replies as they want in a certain amount of time they may lose interest in CP.
- Remind people to stay active on the forums.
- If you have friends in other clans that don't want to join CP, still have them come on CP's forums and make an intro for the Special Guest rank, new faces around our forums gives a fresh feeling.
- Change up your signature and avatars almost weekly, also gives the forums a fresh feeling and makes people want to post.

In Game Community Building
- I know this sounds kind of funny but if you are just in IRC or TS chilling, you should still load up RS and just sit in the lobby. Make our clan chat look active for some of the kids newer to CP to show that people are still alive when there isn't an event.
- If there is no conversation going in the clan chat, try and start one. Talk to someone who is logged in and ask what they are doing on rs, or just have a casual conversation. This is good for people that are new to CP.
- Have fun events in game such as fun P2P trips, this is important not only to keep people happy about P2P events but allows people to make friendships or even stronger friendships.
- When we mass up for events, start talking to people. If you see someone off to the side by themselves go up to them and start talking to them. Help them with gear or just talk about anything. Make them feel welcomed.  If you see someone new this is even more important, but you should always try to start conversation with someone that looks like they have no one to talk to or by themselves.

Random Community Building Tips that have little to do with IRC/TS/Forums/In Game
- Doing fun stuff outside of RS is always good to build the community. You should probably still use TS or IRC for communication though. For example, one of the reasons I love doing it, is Tinychat. It puts you on a whole nother level with people when you see the face behind the screenname. Talk to the people and have fun with it. Cam up yourself and make people feel good about themselves if they do decide to cam up.
- Do your best to make as many friends as possible. If you are on a personal level with everyone in CP, you are doing good things for the community, that should ultimately be every staff members goal.
- Don't let arguments or flaming of any kind happen (unless they are a joke, for example Andy (nasal), this is a inside joke and its good to have these in clans, read above for more info on that). Try to solve the issues nicely by telling them to stop in PM.
- Never publically call anyone out, never side with anyone.
- By all means, ALWAYS stick up for staff members, If you ever see any staff member getting flamed stick up for them. Don't let anyone in CP's staff ever get put down.  This can go for members to, always back each other up.

Newly Added
- Always find the positive in situations. For example if we lose a prep talk about how good the pull was or how good some of our tanks were.
- This might sound kinda lame but flame in unity. If you notice someone flaming another clan join in. It will only make CP look unified and that we all even hate the same things.
- Take the forums seriously, if its a serious post then reply with a serious response. Don't try to flame and troll on a topic that isn't a flame or troll. It's ok to joke around but you have to know when to be serious to set an example for the members.
