Two weeks into motorcycle and chill and I am leaving the hospital with road rash on my leg and arms from avoiding a head on collision and jumping off my bike, which ended up under a bus.  It was a 25 mph zone and I told officers I was going 45-50 (which I don't think I was, I was in shock), I may have been going more 35-40 just by the low severity of my burns/rashes (nurses and doctors say they weren't as deep as most the people who come in).  It was one of those T-Intersections where there is a blind spot when stopped at the stop bar, so as the bus inches up, it is halfway in another (my) lane so it was either hit the bus and likely die, hit oncoming traffic and likely die, or try and break and jump off the bike to skid 20-25ft and live to tell the tale.
