If you had an account on RuneScript forums please change your passwords immediately. They are brute forcing the hashes in an attempt to steal RuneScape accounts.



Please take this as a lesson that potentially any forum is at risk of getting hacked and you should never use the same password on more than one site or an email that will give away your IRL information. Take this opportunity to change all your passwords (forums, email, etc) to include numbers, letters, and symbols if you haven't. If you have already done so then I suggest changing your password still, it is a good habit to change your passwords monthly.

Never and a repeat, never use your email on any forums that you do for Facebook or any other media site. Use a special eamil if you order anything online with your debit/credit card or with PayPal or Moneybookers. Change passwords every 3 months to be safe.
