The shit attendance has nothing to do with it being in the desert, it's a shit fucking sport to begin with. Legitmately the NHL is trash.
The Cincinnati Cyclones are like a farm team and a shit ton of people go to that. We don't even have a NHL team here, thank God, but the desert has nothing to do with it. Shit sport, stay in Canada.
