I believe some of these people are reading your topic wrong, it's about going on in life without the assistance at all from parents in all aspects, from birthdays to life advice or just about anything in your life that would help you deeply. Maybe im reading too deep in something so simple but without the support of my parents i'd probably be a bum, not in the sense of choosing to be broke & not out making a life for myself, but I wouldn't feel the need to personally achieve anything knowing my parents are taken from me at such a young stage in my life. It will be pretty hard to find happiness going from one day knowing they exist to never being able to speak again.
