So i'm decent with weights or w/e but I have a question.
Is there a difference is trying to run to lose weight and to get in shape? or are they both the same thing?
For example during the season, I weighed about 245, was playing both ways with little break. Now i'm still about 245-250 but in a lot worse of shape.

Losing weight does help you get in shape. But if you say get "in shape" do you mean to have better cardio? :3
You can still stay the same weight and get better cardio by eating them proteins and whole wheats :D

Running is working out a whole different skill set. Big difference.
I'm not an expert but cardio workout burn more fat than lifting weights of course.

my guess....
running works out every muscle, u thought u were in better shape because u were doing it so often for football that all of those muscles were getting worked out. so if u just start running like a mile day you will get back to how you felt before?
