Maybe its just the times im checking but has anyone else noticed that there is less and less people playing this game? I know it may not the be the "pure community" that arent playing anymore but I have noticed a drop. I saw an all time low of 19,000 players online last night and during the first two months there was an upwards of 40-50k players online. Opinions?

Jagex has banned over 21k bots the past 2 weeks lol
The results have been positive so far, with over 21,000 bans applied in the last two weeks.

Where are you people getting your information from? Bots have not been nuked; Fagex have not only banned goldfarming bots which honestly, are poorly written to start of with. Legit players have also got banned for being in an overpopulated botting area.
Fagex have not yet come up with a way to end bots for good - they never will long as 07Scape is still Java. You're right about one thing, though, 07Scape is starting to get more inactive. This is not because of the goldfarmers getting banned but the fact that the free membership ran out.
EOC still has 70k-80k active players, respectively. 07Scape peaks at around 50k on weekends and around 43k on weekdays.
We just have to look at BotWatch in EOC to show how behind Fagex are on terms of botting. They have no system, unless they want to ban players who are legit.
Kiko has not only changed his script, but by far improved iDung in terms of mouse movements and hooks are really human-like. If you made a bar chart you would see that every hour gone by it would be different; by a good jump. Unlike the common used with the old system.
No bans have been reported for botting dung or mining since the first 3 weeks of BotWatch - which has failed.

I think the drop in total players is due to the amount of bots being banned.
